  • Slow-release fertilizer for steady growth
  • Weed-and-feed options available
  • Organic programs available

Why You Might Need Lawn Fertilization

Common situations we see across Northern Virginia yards.

Your lawn is pale, thin, and not growing despite regular mowing and watering.

You don't know when or how much to fertilize for Northern Virginia's climate.

You've been using store-bought fertilizer but not seeing results.

How JYG Approaches Lawn Fertilization

Feeding your lawn on the right schedule is the single biggest thing you can do for a thick, green, weed-resistant lawn. Our fertilization program applies the right nutrients at the right time — early spring green-up, late spring feeding, summer stress support, and fall root-building — timed to tall fescue and Northern Virginia soil conditions.

What to Expect

1

4

We monitor results and adjust the program as your lawn responds.

Northern Virginia Considerations

Northern Virginia's tall fescue needs most of its nitrogen in fall (September–November) for root-building, not in spring. Over-fertilizing in spring causes excessive top growth at the expense of roots — making the lawn less drought-tolerant in summer. We time each application to your grass type and our climate, using slow-release products for steady growth.
