Yard Waste Removal in Northern Virginia
You do the yard work. JYG handles the haul-away — paper-bagged or loose yard waste loaded and hauled from your Northern Virginia property.
Justin's Yard & Garden provides yard waste removal for Northern Virginia homeowners who have already done the yard work and need the debris hauled away. We collect, load, and haul vegetative yard waste — leaves, grass clippings, weeds, garden trimmings, hedge and shrub clippings, small branches, twigs, and brush. Paper-bagged yard waste is $375 per truckload. Loose or unbagged yard waste is $500 per truckload. These are two alternative preparation categories, not automatically combined charges. The number of truckloads and any additional preparation work — such as branch cutting or difficult-access handling — are confirmed before service. This is collection, loading, and haul-away of the agreed yard-waste pile. The base rate does not include whole-property cleanup, tree removal, stump removal, branch cutting, or extensive raking and gathering.
What's Included

Yard Waste Removal Pricing
Two preparation categories — choose the one that matches your pile. The number of truckloads is confirmed before service.
Paper-Bagged Yard Waste
Yard waste in paper bags, loaded and hauled away.
- Leaves, grass clippings, weeds
- Hedge and shrub clippings
- Small branches and twigs
- Paper bags only — no plastic
Loose / Unbagged Yard Waste
Loose piles of yard waste, loaded and hauled away.
- Loose leaves and clippings
- Brush and small branches
- Piled yard trimmings
- No bagging required
Truckload pricing is based on the usable loading space of our approximately 8–10-foot truck bed, with a maximum yard-waste load of up to 3,000 pounds. A load is full when available space or the applicable weight limit is reached, whichever comes first. Bulky branches may fill the truck before reaching the weight limit, while wet or dense material may reach the weight limit sooner. JYG confirms the required number of loads and any separately quoted preparation work before pickup.

How JYG Approaches Yard Waste Removal
You do the yard work. JYG handles the haul-away. We collect, load, and haul vegetative yard waste from your property — paper-bagged or loose. The number of truckloads and any additional preparation work are confirmed before service, so you know the price upfront.
What We Accept
This service is for vegetative yard waste — not general junk removal. Normally eligible, subject to inspection and safe loading:
- Leaves
- Grass clippings
- Weeds and garden trimmings
- Hedge and shrub clippings
- Small branches, twigs, and brush
- Natural, untreated tree or shrub material that can be safely handled
Paper bags must contain yard waste only. Do not mix in household trash, construction debris, or prohibited materials.
What We Do Not Accept
The following are not accepted under this service:
- Used oil, fuel, chemicals, paint, pesticides, or other hazardous waste
- TVs, electronics, batteries, appliances, furniture, or household trash
- Construction or demolition debris
- Lumber, treated or painted wood, fencing, drywall, roofing, concrete, bricks, or metal
- Soil, sod, rocks, stumps, root balls, or heavy logs unless separately reviewed and quoted
- Animal waste or concealed non-yard-waste materials
Do not use plastic bags for yard waste. If your waste is plastic-bagged, please identify the packaging when requesting a quote so we can route it for review. For mixed piles containing prohibited materials, the prohibited materials must be removed from the pickup pile or separately addressed before we can proceed.
Paper-Bagged vs. Loose Piles
The two pricing categories reflect how the yard waste is prepared for pickup:
- Paper-bagged ($375/truckload): Yard waste in paper lawn-and-leaf bags, ready to load. Bags must contain yard waste only.
- Loose or unbagged ($500/truckload): Piles of loose yard waste — leaves, clippings, brush, branches — that JYG loads by hand or with equipment.
- If you are unsure which category fits, send photos and we will help you determine the right preparation.
- Mixed loads (some bagged, some loose) require owner review before a final price is confirmed.
Preparation and Access
To help us provide an accurate quote and safe pickup, please tell us:
- Where the yard waste is located — curbside, driveway, backyard, or other
- Gate width, stairs, slopes, or other access considerations
- Whether vehicle access is available near the pile
- Whether branches need cutting to fit the truck
- Whether the material is wet or unusually dense
Difficult access, stairs, narrow gates, or additional gathering work may require a separately quoted charge. We confirm any additional costs before service — no surprises.
Branch Cutting and Additional Preparation
Large branches that require cutting to fit the truck, unusually difficult access, or additional cleanup may require a separate approved charge. Branch cutting and preparation work is quoted separately — the price is confirmed before service, not added silently.
- Branch cutting to fit the truck — separately quoted
- Difficult-access handling — separately quoted
- Additional gathering or raking — separately quoted
- All preparation work is confirmed before service begins
Suspected Poison Ivy or Hazardous Vegetation
If you suspect poison ivy, poison oak, or other hazardous vegetation in your yard waste pile, please disclose it when requesting a quote. We will route your request to our specialized vegetation and poison-ivy assessment rather than treating it as ordinary brush. Do not attempt to handle or burn suspected poison ivy yourself.
Suspected hazardous vegetation is not accepted as ordinary yard waste. It requires a separate assessment and may require specialized handling.

Northern Virginia Considerations
Northern Virginia homeowners across Nokesville, Bristow, Gainesville, Warrenton, and Manassas often manage large lots with mature trees that produce significant seasonal debris.
